Laurie m numbers, re: OC committee seats...There are 826 seats total; 463 of those remain vacant, with a total of 363 filled seats. Of those, 146 were Write-ins. I think Geoff is correct in assuming those 146 are not entirely satisfied with our current leadership. 60 nominations were thrown out because they and another write-in each got equal # of votes, negating the Write-in. Of the 217 who got in on ballot, some ran on the line but are still bold progressives. I ran on the line, so did Joni and Debi and other people I know. If we were better organized, those 60 write-ins would not have been thrown out. What this tells me, is that we have the numbers – – we as ACTIVE progressives (people who actually signed up to serve) are in the majority! We can change the leadership. But not tomorrow
